The Dukovany NPP - Reconstruction of computer network in selected facilities

I&C Energo has succeeded in the tender "Reconstruction of computer network in selected facilities" at the Dukovany NPP. The work will consist in the processing of the project documentation and the subsequent implementation of the reconstruction of the metallic cabling of the computer network in selected facilities.

The proposed modernisation of the structured cabling with the use of cables according to the Cat5e standard, or higher, will enable an increase in the transmission speed up to 1000Mb/s. At the same time, topology modifications necessary for connecting new users will be implemented. For existing users, the upgrade will ensure the availability of data connectivity while minimising data connection failures caused by deficiencies in the topology or data cabling.

The solution also includes modification of the existing network topology so that the design of the upgraded network meets the requirements of standards ČSN EN 50173 and ČSN EN 50174 for the design of structured cabling.

The work will be implemented in four sub-units with expected completion in December 2024.
