Temelín NPP - Replacement of piping leading to CVZA coolers

I&C Energo has signed a contract for work for the public contract Replacement of pipelines leading to CVZA coolers. The subject of the work is processing of project documentation and subsequent implementation consisting in the replacement of the existing VF (Essential Service Water System) and UX (Chilled Water System) systems piping from carbonaceous material with corrosion-resistant material, including isolation, drainage, and venting valves.

The purpose of the work is to eliminate the risk of local leaks in the VF piping system and its components (associated with loss of integrity of the piping routes themselves on integral parts of the piping) due to fouling and deposition of corrosion products. Undesirable reductions in flow cross-section are connected with this - with the possible consequence of loss of guarantee of heat removal from the affected rooms, including LaP pumping and possible impact on unit availability. Replacement will ensure simplification of maintenance on the CVZA coolers.

The implementation will take place during the outages of the production units at the Temelín NPP from 2024 to 2027.
