Reconstruction of 0.38 kV section distributors at the Dukovany NPP

By 2031, I&C Energo a.s. will have been implementing the reconstruction of the 0.38 kV low-voltage section distributors at the Dukovany NPP to ensure their operation until 2045.

The reconstructed section distributors supply important appliances ensuring safety and operation of the Dukovany NPP units. The section distributors will be replaced by others equipped with new instrumentation (maintaining the existing dimensions of the distributors and the number of fields) and complying with the currently valid NTD (Normative Technical Documentation). The distributors will be equipped with connection points for mobile Diesel Generators, which are one of the diversionary and alternative means of coping with emergency conditions. The chosen method of reconstruction will address the unavailability of spare parts and the increasing failure rate of existing equipment and will meet the requirement for a sufficient reserve of the number of outlets for future expansion of the SZN (Secured Power Supply System) distribution system.
