Production of LUVO blocks for Sev.en Engineering s.r.o.

I&C Energo has contracted the manufacture of 32 tubular blocks for the bottom part of the LUVO air heater. The work is divided into two stages. The order is being implemented as a subcontract for PROTIS Ostrava Inženýring, s.r.o. as a part of the repair of B2-B5 production units at the Počerady Power Plant.

Stage 1 of the work for the production of 16 LUVO blocks for B5 production unit was successfully completed at the beginning of September 2022, and at the same time the implementation of stage 2 of the work started with a completion date in the first half of 2023.

Each LUVO block has more than 1,800 tubes of approximately 3 metres in length welded on both sides into tube plates with reinforcements and supports. The bottom of the LUVO blocks, on the flue outlet side, is treated with a protective coating of Aluxal Titanium. Production is carried out in the I&C Energo machine workshops on the premises of the Mělník Power Plant.
