Modifications of the ventilation routes of the space under the heads of the steam generator secondary collectors at the Temelín NPP

The implementation of the change will eliminate screw joints and heterogeneous welded joints and return to the original design state. Part of the implementation is processing of the project and implementation documentation, delivery of the necessary material, reconstruction of the ventilation piping routes and repair of any defective nozzles on the secondary heads. The implementation also includes the preparation of a test sample (standard), on which the volume defectoscopy method Phased Array will be tested to detect volume defects in fillet welds between the nozzle and the secondary head of the steam generator or in the body of the nozzle itself.

The supplied equipment is included in safety class 2 according to the Decree on Requirements for Design of Nuclear Installation (329/2017 Coll.).
